The Los Angeles County Department of Beaches & Harbors presents 2024 Movie Nights in Burton Chace Park! Pack your picnic baskets and enjoy outdoor movie screenings under the stars on select summer Saturdays, August - September. Click here to view the lineup. Movies start at 8 pm, but arrive by 7 pm to pick your spot on the lawn. Free admission.

Annual Holiday Boat Parade

A beloved holiday tradition, our Annual Holiday Boat Parade features a flotilla of festively decorated boats on the main channel and food trucks and carolers at Burton Chace Park. At 5:55 pm, a fireworks display announces the start of the parade, which is narrated on a PA system at the park and Fisherman’s Village, another popular viewing spot. Free.

New Year’s Eve Fireworks

Head to Fisherman’s Village, Burton Chace Park or anywhere near the South Jetty to enjoy the annual fireworks display. Countdown to the New Year at 8:59 pm and again at 11:59 pm. Free.

Fourth of July Fireworks

Come celebrate the Fourth of July by the sand and sea in L.A.’s Marina! Fireworks launch from the South Jetty. Arrive early, hop on the Water Bus, dine along the harbor and take advantage of the best views from Fisherman’s Village, Aubrey E. Austin Park (along Via Marina), Burton Chace Park and the Marina Peninsula.

Summer Concerts

Grab your family, a picnic dinner, and a blanket or low-profile beach chairs and make your way to Burton Chace Park for the free Summer Concerts presented by the L.A. County Department of Beaches and Harbors in selected dates in July and August.

Beach Eats

Savor sips and bites during Beach Eats, the Marina’s weekly food truck event held at Mother’s Beach on Thursdays, 5–9 pm, from May through October. Food trucks line up at Parking Lot #11 on the corner of Via Marina and Panay Way.

Sunday Movies on the Lawn

Jamaica Bay Inn presents a free outdoor movie series every Sunday with seating at 6:30 pm and the movie starting at dusk. Drinks, snacks and treats are available for purchase. Bring low chairs, blankets and pillows. Seating is first come, first served.

Burton Chace Park

From bike paths to barbecue areas to breathtaking ocean vistas, Marina del Rey’s largest public park is a 10-acre oasis extending into the Marina’s main channel. Don’t miss the free summer outdoor concert series and live music on select weekends.
